Thanks!
Is it slighty or obviously slower?
I will need it to run excel and matlab.
I found a comment on web which is quite confusing "The most important change is the move to an Intel N270 Atom CPU, clocked at 1.6GHz — an improvement over the 900MHz Intel Pentium M on the 900."
http://www.zdnet.com.au/reviews/hardware/laptops/soa/Asus-EeePC-901/0,2000065761,339290002,00.htm
Was the slowing down a result of clocking at 800 rather than 1.6G?
Also, I'm considering to use PCCW Everywhere for streaming live financial data.
I notice that PCCW is promoting a 900 with PCCWEverywhere package, which 900= $3288, and $2000 will be returned in 24month contract time.
But if 901 is better than 900, I would rather buy 901 myself and not go for the discount package.
It's said that 901's battery can go for 4.5-8hrs, what about 900, 2-3hrs at most?
If the pc is streaming data all the time, would power consumption went up significantly? which mean, unlikely to reach 8 hrs?
